So you need a sign . . . but where do you start ? What are the options . . . and how do you know what will work best for your particular situation?
Our job at Express Signs is to answer all your signage questions and to determine the appropriate solution for your specific needs and budget.
We’ve listed some basic considerations below which may help clarify your signage needs and will also provide the information we need to make the appropriate recommendations for your project.
PURPOSE OF YOUR SIGN:
Does it need to sell something, provide direction, or offer information?
Determining this purpose will help define the pertinent information or message to include on your sign and how to maximize the message.
TIME-FRAME AND CONDITIONS:
Is your sign temporary or for permanent use? Will it be used indoors or outdoors? How durable does the material or graphic need to be? These specifications will help us determine the appropriate material for your sign.
SIGN SIZE & VIEWING DISTANCE:
When determining sign or graphic size, consider how far the viewing distance is for your readers and how long they will have to view the information. This will define what information to emphasize and how to design for an effective message.
MOUNTING OR INSTALLATION:
Where will the sign be displayed? Do you need posts or a bracket? How will it be attached or installed? Will you need approval from the landlord or local sign code authority? Express Signs offers permit procurement services and can provide answers about sign installation options if needed.
SIGN COPY & LAYOUT:
Do you have a logo, an established design, or special layout requirements? Can you provide us those files in digital format? Our design team can work with your design or we can create one for you. Check our Send Us Your File link for info on submitting digital files.
