Permit Procurement

Frederick County, Frederick City, and the Historic District currently have sign codes in effect requiring – in some circumstances – that a sign permit be obtained prior to installation of new or updated signage. These sign codes have changed over the years and Express Signs has made a point of keeping up to date on the current guidelines and procedures on record.


As part of our Permit Procurement service, we can determine if a permit is needed as well as handle the legwork and paperwork necessary for obtaining any permits required for your specific location.  If you choose to obtain the required permits yourself, we’ll be happy to refer you to the appropriate local governing department or agency.
